We are pleased to report that more uniform dealers and manufacturers continue to sign up for and support the system! We have recently reached the 70 users mark!

This month there are two items on my agenda to discuss. The first is our move to Google Analytics tools. We are excited about the improvements Google has made in their analytics tools, and how easy they are to use.

The second is a quickie tutorial. The subject is how to add a product to a customer store and adjust the prices in your UMSS.

View UMSS Visitors, Traffic and Keywords

UniformMarket Store System (UMSS) users will soon have significantly improved site analysis tools to use. UMSS accounts have previously been linked to individual SmarterStats accounts on the server. But, the online powerhouse Google has recently upgraded their Google Analytics tool and UniformMarket has elected to adopt their platform as our own.

Astute UMSS user Jill Richards, project leader for the recently launched Nu-Crisp (www.nuscrisp.com) web site brought the new and improved Google Analytics to the attention of UniformMarket. Thanks, Jill!

Since Google Analytics launched in November 2005, the demand for website analytics has increased significantly. Today there are hundreds of thousands of Google Analytics customers, and web analytics has moved from being a niche function to becoming a mainstream aspect of the business for companies of all sizes. Google has focused their engineering efforts around maintaining the sophistication and features that experienced users wanted, while also making it easy for both experts and non-experts to quickly and easily find the answers they want.

UMSS users will automatically be setup with Google Analytics over the next few months; transitioning away from the SmarterStats setups. The ability to run reports within the UMSS, and the ability to view stats on your UMSS activity, are FREE components of your system This is all included in the monthly licensing fees of the UMSS.

How do I add a product to a customer store and change the price that customer sees?

As you know, the power of the UMSS lies in its ability to manage not only a general public store, but to setup customers stores. In a customer store, the shopper will see only the products assigned to that store (their uniforms and equipment, for example). They will also see those products at the specific prices, with specific customization options (if applicable).

This lesson assumes that you already have a store setup for a customer and now wish to add a product to that store. The UMSS does not make you reenter the product! All you have to do is assign the product to the store and adjust the prices or options.

Let's look at how a product is assigned to a customer and the prices adjusted. Login to your UMSS admin and perform these steps.

1. Select Products > Active Products. Find the product you wish to assign using the search filters at the top of the Active Products page.

2. Click on the Stores tab at the top of the product section.
