UMSS Admin Gets A Face Lift - July, 2007

Hello:

I am thrilled to send you the first issue of our new monthly newsletter directed to users of the UniformMarket Store System (UMSS). Our growing community now includes 34 uniform dealers and 9 manufacturers! Articles and information will include an assortment of news on new additions to the UniformMarket Product Library (UMPL), features added to the UMSS and links to how-to articles in our developing support area.

We will also continue to grow our community and the sharing of best practices among everyone. This issue highlights how Samuel Broome Uniform Accessories used the UMSS to rebuild their online presentation - take a look if you haven't seen their new site.

Thank you everyone for helping us to continually improve the system. We welcome your input for future editions of this newsletter as well.

Recent Site Launch Wows UMSS Creative Team

UMSS_BroomeHomeThe UMSS creative and production team tips their hat to the marketing team at Samuel Broome Accessories. As one of our newer launches we are impressed with how the company used the UMSS template engine to attractively accomodate a variety of products.

"I am pleased with the way our new site organizes and displays our line," says Daniel Broome of Samuel Broome Accessories. "The UMSS helped. We were able to accomplish our goals much faster than previous attempts to redo our site using other online tools."

Notice how they used the Product Upsell feature to link one product (four in hand style tie) to a complimentary product style (ascot)? Notice how they set up used slightly different category and product detail page layouts for The Studio Collection products versus the Uniform, School and Career products? Nicely done!

Next time you login to your UMSS admin you may be surprised! The administrative tools to manage your customers and online stores now has a cleaner and brighter graphic look and feel.

There are user-friendly icons on the home page and headers of the UMSS admin. The products buttons, for example, will take you straight to your active products, or link directly to the form to start adding a new product.

"We're making it more intuitive to use," says Lee Gorsky of UniformMarket. "I hope UMSS users find the admin sections better organized when they see the new look and feel. We tried to make things easier to find."

The improved interface rolls out officially with UMSS version 2.318. If your system hasn't been upgraded... it will be soon!

The new layouts will also provide links to other resources available to UMSS users. We will have convenient links to online help and support areas; content in these areas is sparse for now but will grow.

Dickies Workwear 2007 Catalog Now Available in UniformMarket Product Library

dickiescoverWe have just completed an update of the Dickies Workwear 2007 catalog for the UniformMarket Product Library (UMPL). There are 252 products in the catalog. It's all there: jeans, jackets, coveralls, shirts, pants and more.

As usual, the products have product descriptions, thumbnail and detail pictures and a complete set of SKUs ready to go. We have entered the entire catalog with MSRP pricing; based on Dickies 2007 standard schedule.

We can leave the prices set to the MSRP we have entered for all the SKUs already; or you can have us change the prices using the UMSS Global Price Edit tools. You can make all or just some of the products live in your public store. You can also assign the products to your customer stores and customize to your liking.

Interested in having the Dickies or other products loaded into your UMSS? The cost is only $5 per product, or get all 252 product, the whole catalog, loaded at the bulk price of $1,134.
