By Jackie Rosselli

Massachusetts-based Reeves Company has added an innovative magnetic attachment system to its line of custom crafted namepins for the lodging and hospitality industry.

This new lightweight, two-piece interlocking magnet fastener allows namepins to be quickly and securely attached without damaging clothing. More advanced than traditional namepins, the new lever-shaped magnet is easier to attach and remove from garments and eliminates the need to pierce fabrics in order to hold the namepin in place.

Another feature of the product is the magnet's smooth plastic casing, which provides greater comfort against wearers' skin.

Available in two sizes and in a choice of silver or gold-toned finishes, the namepins can be customized to corporate specifications and shipped in quantities to separate locations for personalization. Factory engraving is also available in any quantity with a 72-hour turnaround. Samples are available upon request.

TheFlexForce Modular Hard Shell Crowd Control System is the ultimate full body high-threat level riot control, domestic disturbance, and cell extraction suit. This completely refined system from California’s Damascus Protective Gear® has many design features that include added protection, greater flexibility and comfort.

The FlexForce design provides substantial protection from blunt force trauma without sacrificing fit or comfort. The suit is lightweight and ranks highest in ease of getting into or out of in a moments notice. The front and back hard shell panels have a modular flex design allowing for all shapes and sizes to fit comfortably without sacrificing much needed mobility. The forearm guard offers a much more comfortable elbow portion of the pad, which allows more flexibility. The knee/shin guard has a non-slip surface, which keeps you planted in position. The entire kit also comes with its own large nylon bag for storage and transport.

“You could call them air-conditioning for your hands,“ says Damascus of its second product offering this month.

The company has launched a line of gloves with patented Smart Fabric Technology (SFT).
The gloves feature what is touted as "Certified Space Technology" developed and used by NASA, with "Smart Fabric Technology" by Outlast . This patented, state-of-the-art technology has fused micro-encapsulated "phase changing" materials called Thermocules, which absorb, store and release heat, providing a perfectly balanced hand temperature to prevent hands from ever being either too hot or too cold.

Wearers will experience an instant cooling sensation when they first slip a pair of these gloves onto their hands. Incredibly, the Smart Fabric Technology lining then regulates to your hands temperature. Other interesting design features include materials and concepts which promote air-flow and maximum breathability in hot weather.
