SYMPTOMS
Please follow the directions below for setting your email client up to work with uniformmarket.com if you're using Netscape 7.
SOLUTION
When you first start Netscape 7's mail client, you will begin an "Account Wizard" for setting up your new account. Select "Email account" and click "Next". If you already have accounts set up or need to add your uniformmarket.com as a new account, you can start the same wizard by selecting the "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" from the "Edit" menu and then clicking the "Add Account" button.
- On the first screen, you will be able to configure how your name appears to people you send email to, this is the "Your Name" box and is not your email address. It can be your real name, your company name, or even a combination like in our example picture below. The next box is your email address, enter it now. Click "Next".

- The next screen is titled "Server Information". Select POP as your account type. IMAP is available for advanced users but please understand its limitations before using it. The mail servers you enter here will traditionally be mail.
.com for both where you replace with your actual domain name hosted with uniformmarket.com, in our example we've used mydomain.com as the customer's domain name so his mail servers are mail.mydomain.com. Click "Next". 
- Now you configure the actual username for logging in to check email. Netscape calls this the "User Name". In the case of uniformmarket.com, your username is your entire email address. Your password is the one you set via our email administration web page or what was given to you by the person who manages email accounts for your domain. Click "Next".

- After that screen you will be able to enter what Netscape calls an "Account Name". This is simply a way of identifying your account within Netscape if you have multiple accounts. We suggest using your email address here.
- Click Finish, but you're not done. Unfortunately Netscape does not put all the settings you need in the normal setup screen. Existing customers changing their account settings will want to start with the next step as well.
- Existing Customers Begin Here
You should start in the Netscape Mail & Newsgroups program. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" to open a window of the same name. - In this "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" we want to alter your "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" settings so click that item in the menu on the left. Keep in mind that this will affect all of your accounts so if you have multiple accounts with other internet providers, the configuration you need is beyond the scope of this document.
On the "Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings" page on the right, you will need to ensure that "Use name and password" is checked and that the "User Name" is your entire email address. The "Server Name" should already be filled in correctly for you.
- That should be all that is needed to set your client up to use your account with uniformmarket.com; Netscape will prompt you for your password the first time you send or receive email.
