Hello:
A very busy spring here at UniformMarket! We now have over
115 uniform dealers and manufacturers using the UniformMarket
Store System (UMSS). A few recent additions to our growing
community of users are listed in our "new customers" section
below.
We're also excited by our new partnership with Landau Uniforms.
Landau has made a special licensed version of the UMSS available
to their retailers that features real-time distribution center
inventory and a drop-ship program – invisible to the
shopper! Look for more information on the Uniform Resource
Landau Program in our June issue of the UMSS newsletter.
UniformMarket’s Highland Park, IL staff also moved this
month, as I'm sure most of you have heard by now. Our new office
is pictured on the left, and if you look very closely in the
upper right hand corner of the building you might see us waving!
We can finally spread out and get to working in less cramped
quarters.
Lastly, we're excited to announce a UniformMarket Product
Library (UMPL) newsletter, launching next Tuesday. It will
be published every third Tuesday of the month, featuring catalogs
and products that are of interest to all our customers. Look
for it in your inbox next Tuesday!

What are discounts and how do they
apply to me?
Did you know that the UniformMarket Store System has a Discount
Module built into the system?
This module allows you to discount prices, offer coupons
and set bulk pricing on one simple module. You can
set up a discount at the order level, the category level
or the product level that allows you to offer discounts that
don’t require entering any codes.
For instance, you can offer a 10% discount on all polo shirts. You
would then set up a discount on the category “Polos” and
all products in that category would automatically have a
10% discount while that discount is active.
You can also offer discounts that require entering coupon
codes. This is a great method to track marketing activity. Coupons
can be set to be active for specific periods of time, even
future dated, so you can set up a series of coupons for limited
times within the next quarter and when the future dates are
hit, the coupons will be usable. You can also set
how many times a single customer can use a specific coupon.
Another feature the Discount Module allows is the creation
of bulk pricing.
Bulk pricing uses a combination of the Discount Module and
some coding in the Templates, so assistance from the programmers
at UniformMarket would be needed to get started.

We've
all been there. You're working on your website, humming
along when you run into a snag. You need some direction and some
guidance,
so where can you turn?
Fortunately,
UniformMarket has set up help files that can guide
you through the process of many
of the website development tools. These can be found
at www.uniformmarket.com/support. They can also be accessed from within
your UMSS server by clicking on HELP or SUPPORT
when logged into the admin.
There you'll click
on the help files link in the left hand column. There
are step by step files that walk you through basics
like product entry, image loading, pricing, and categories.
